So lovely you almost can’t touch it. Almost.
Sweets! Somehow when we’re traveling we justify calorie-laden, creamy, rich indulgences more than when we’re in our home routine. Perhaps because we walk miles a day, performing industrial level sight-seeing. Either way, I had no qualms when I delved into this, the first gelato sampling of my trip to Bologna, of which there were many during my blogville stay.
Under the classic arcade of arches, we happily lapped up the soft swirl of dreamy creaminess, and felt immediately at home (for a few weeks, at least!). Our gracious and charming host Nicholas Montemaggi came through on his earlier promise to me via Twitter to guide me to one of the best gelaterias upon our arrival. (Careful Twitter ladies, though his sweetness extends beyond providing gelato to his guests, he has a beautiful and charming girlfriend who I danced with, laughed with and love. You’ll have to answer to me! 😉 )
What have been your most memorable sweet discoveries? I’ll be watching the #FriFoto stream on Twitter to get my palate palpitating.

Yum! Nothing beats real gelato! My top sweets are at Cibreo in Floremce or at Badiani, the top gelateria and pastry shop in town. 🙂 Everything is hard to resist!
Hi Tiana and thanks for yumming! I agree about authentic gelato being hard to beat. You're making me want to return to Florence, and SOON! Happy sweet-ing. Cheers and ciao!
Om nom. What an authentic way to have gelato, looks quite scrumptious!
It was, thanks Ryan!
