In addition to the Spanish language courses that I’ve been taking,  I´ve also been studying math and philosophy in Seville. Please review my research and results below:

Sevillian Math:

One Way Walk to School = 1 T.V (Tinto Verano)
Return Trip from School = 1 Leche Manchada (Some Powerful Coffee with Lots of Milk)
Taking the Stairs (Six Flights) = 1 Tostada con Aceite de Oliva con Ajo y Tomate (Toast with Olive Oil, Garlic, and Fresh Tomato)
Climbing La Giralda Tower = 1 Bamba de Nata (The Biggest Cream Puff Pastry You Ever Did See – The Bomb-a!)
Strolling Down Avenida Sierpes for Salir de Compras, or Going out Drinking = 3 Calamaris (We find we need to shop a lot!)
Dancing ´till 3am = 1 Racione de Paella
Walking Along the River and Across the Bridge to Triana = 1 Tapa de Tortilla de Patatas
(¿Did you notice any vegetables in the equation? Nope. ¡Didn´t think so!)

Talking on the Pay Phone for 41 Minutes = 2 Lenguas de Gatos  (Light Cream-Filled Almond Sandwich Cookie)

Joyeria in Seville, Spain

Joyeria in Seville, Spain

Filosofia:

If the Peluqueria is where you get your hair (pelo) coiffed
and
the Pasteleria is where you can get pasteles (pasteries)
and
the Panaderia is where one gets pan (bread)
and on and on…
¿Doesn´t it follow that
the Joyeria is where one can get happy?  I like to think so.  Needless to say they have many Joyerias around Seville.

Just some more meanderings of the mind…
